Well just to make a change from ogley topics I thought it was about time someone got down to serious business.
So here goes another classification of Dutchland`s best-selling singles for the year 1973. "What`s it got to do with our dearest ABBA" I can hear some of you out there scream.
Well Dutchland was actually the first country (beside Scandinavia of course) to have harboured an ABBA title in their charts. You may experience some difficulty spotting them in this list though as they chose to be called the ABBAs only after that "Nina ballerina" thing.

Where`s the ABBAs I can hear some of you moan . Well, as it happens, they`re having a hit by proxy while they`re rocking the boat somewhere round happy Hawaii, leaving their fans broken-hearted. Amateur band "Sweet Dreams" are taking care of business while the fab four are busy basking on the run in the sun on a summer love sensation spree, leaving it all up to them in the meantime.
When shall we see them again in the top twenty? God only knows.

Eh bien, ils avaient bien besoin de repos après leur victoire eurovisionnesque, du coup ils ont délégué leurs pouvoirs au duo angliche "Sweet Dreams" qui a accepté de couvrir une de leurs chansons. Pas d'inquiétude pour les zABBAs, ils ne leur feront pas de l'ombre vu qu'ils retomberont aussitôt dans l'oubli .

Un p'tit retour en arrière avec un classement des meilleures vente en Allemagne de l'an septante-quatre...

Dans l'ordre d'apparition vous trouverez la position, les points acquis pour l'année, la meilleure place atteinte dans le classement hebdomadaire, l'année de sortie du disque, le nombre de semaines dans le top, le titre de la chanson et enfin le nom de l'artiste et accessoirement son numéro de téléphone portatif. Vous remarquerez que notre Mimi nationale se portait pas trop mal à l'époque, n'en déplaise aux hyènes qui rigolent dans son dos lorsqu'elle est en tournée au Japon.   En tout cas, en cas de soutien électoral, notre chère Mimi n'est jamais aux japonais absents (suis-je drôle!)

Notre bon vieux Charles national avec son unique n°1 en Angleterre. Il s'agit de la version anglaise de "Tous les visages de l'amour" qui fut un flop en France. En fête à la base et entre guillemets, il dut son succès chez les rosbifs uniquement au fait que la chanson fut utilisée comme générique de fin d'un feuilleton britiche. Côté accent il nous vengea de la Birkin, matche nul, balle au centre...
La chanson n°9 est la version remixée du célèbre "Ne me quitte pas" de Francisca Brel.
La chanson n°11 devint "Mon coeur est malade" interprété par la chanteuse Dave.
La chanson n°14 fut couverte par feu Sacha Distel sous le titre: "Vite, chérie vite (sors du lit ")
